Our community owes its existence to friends and maritime comrades who have embraced this effort since our first day.
Antonis Sotiropoulos
Antonis Sotiropoulos is the man to whom we owe our involvement with the magical world of sea kayaking. Apart from being a childhood friend, he was our first trainer and mentor. He is an oceanographer and has had a large number of participations in oceanographic and hydrographic expeditions. He is the one who will encourage, propose new destinations and be permanently with a smile when in his boat. He will set new sea goals and new challenges for the team and make sure that they are achieved. If he does not travel on a mission in our seas, he will generously offer his company and his maritime knowledge. He is the captain of our sea dreams.
Aggelos Christophides and the South Evian Gulf team
Apart from the fact that the kayaker within our own Antonis Sotiropoulos was born and raised paddling with the SEGT, Aggelos and the other members of the team actively supported our initiative and we unanimously made the promotion of sea kayaking our aim. We could not fail to mention Aggelos’ practical and generous help, concerning both equipment, and training, since, apart from being a brotherly friend, he is also our exclusive partner and certified Coastal Kayaking L3 Instructor of the American Canoe Association.
George Kontargiris and exploremessinia
We met George a few years ago as the lead guide of sea activities and paddle expert of the exploremessinia, as well as an instructor, in the context of certification of the British Canoe / Kayak Federation (British Canoeing). Let alone experiencing one of the most beautiful weekends at sea, we gained, apart from the aforementioned certification, a very good friend and supporter of our endeavour. George is our main partner, in the context of the British Federation trainings, as he is one of the first British Canoeing Sea kayak Leader Provider representatives in our country.
OSD are to host large-scale schools and workshops of both the American and British federations, with certified instructors and guests, where, regardless of level, each and every one of us evolves into sea kayaking.
Last, but in no way least, our French friends and fellow travellers, Select Paddles, who are the providers for the excellent paddles we use.
