The first OSDs

Sotirios Zachopoulos

Born in 1979 in Athens. Also coming from a family with special bonds with the sea. Since childhood, he’s been involved in skiing (sea and alpine), yoga and cycling. A lover of powerboats, he renounced the noise of the outboard when he experienced the tranquility of the Greenlandic paddle.

An English teacher with various artistic concerns, he is the technical manager of the team and the one who will fix anything that requires tools. He is usually upside down in the water, looking for a new recovery technique while he is oft referred to as “ghost paddler”. He holds the prestigious Sea Kayak Leader diploma from the British Canoeing Federation and the L2 Essentials of Kayak Touring Skills from the American Canoe Association.

Synodini Perraki

Born in 1982 in Athens, she grew up on her dad’s surfboard and in her adult life, although initially employed in the tourist industry, yoga and rowing eventually won her over.

She is the equipment manager of the team, the one who will undertake the “warm-up” before we enter the boats as well as the necessary stretching after we exit. In addition to her kayaking, you’ll also find her on a SUP explainingThe benefits of yoga in modern life. She is our Sindy, or “OSD mom.” Holder of the prestigious Sea Kayak Leader diploma from the British Canoeing Federation and the L2 Essentials of Kayak Touring Skills from the American Canoe Association.
